Limited original, signed, numbered, un-framed etching (85x95 mm)

A little fluffy rabbit becomes very cold after a long journey through a forest. The rabbit settles down to sleep in his luxuriant coat. Outside a thick layer of snow shields the rabbit from the cold and wind. Inside all is calm and still; nothing stirs…

The rabbit holds a “Wonder” smelling of summer and bright like the sun - radiant and warm, an invitation to dream.

Galina created this etching during wintertime in Kiev and experienced the cold in her studio. The rabbit really represents Galina’s desire to exchange winter for the scent of summer air, apples and the bright warming sun.

Baby bird
Limited original, signed, numbered, un-framed etching (100x80 mm)

The chick depicted in this etching embodies the inherent beauty of all the birds on our planet. Depicted in the background is the UNESCO listed Kiev-Pechersk Lavra with lilac bushes in bloom. Featured around the edge are flora and fauna, both real and mythical.

Galina spent one month working with a loupe to create this visually stunning ensemble.

After the Ball
Limited original, signed, numbered, un-framed etching (85x150 mm)

Snowing, delicate and soft, feather-light and fluffy, not like the usual cold icy flakes. The lake ice is smooth and slippery like fine crystal. Skater’s heaven, skating like never before…

But stop, perhaps it is this debutante’s thoughts that whirl and race and skate? Her waltzing gliding thoughts; she notices nothing as she stands in her dreamland…Yes… what a wonderful ball it was!

The Little Prince
Limited original, signed, numbered, un-framed etching (105x145 mm)

This etching illustrates the sad philosophical tale described in Antuan de Saint Exupery’s “The Little Prince”. In our etching The Little Prince is from a distant little planet. He decides to visit other planets and during his travels encounters different types of people (a King, a man of ambition, a drunkard, a businessman, a lamplighter, a cartographer).

On Earth he encounters a most wise Fox. The Fox asks The Little Prince to domesticate him because, “To me you are just a small boy, no different to one-hundred thousand other small boys. And I don’t need you. And for you I am just a wild fox, no different to one-hundred thousand other wild foxes. But when you domesticate me, we will become faithful to one another”.

The Wise Fox persuades The Little Prince that “We are forever responsible to those we become faithful to. Only our hearts are open. The most important feelings cannot be seen by eyes”.

Elegy

An etching that inspires reflective thoughts. Here the Giraffe represents the fauna and the tree represents the flora found in The Garden of Eden.

All is serene and universal love holds sway.

My existence
Limited original, signed, numbered, un-framed etching (100x275 mm)

This etching represents the hard life of a northern hare. The hare bounds between forest birch-trees. He has bells on his ears so he can be found. Along the picture edges are images from a hare’s life. We see that a hare dreams of gardens of paradise where juicy cabbage is easy to find and he never need to worry about hiding from a fox. But because all his dreams cannot be granted at once we find him a touch sad and despondent.
Does the hare sound like anyone you know?
